Houses
I have been thinking about moving. Actually, I am always thinking about moving. So, everywhere I go I notice houses and think about living there. Not that I would really want to, but I find it a good diversion from what I really ought to be doing. Here’s a few…
This lovely cedar shingled barn with soft grey green trim has just the right nod to traditional architecture, but with a clean contemporary look. I love the barn doors.
I can imagine the light filled rooms in the front of this historical home that probably once served as a post office or tavern.
Quintessentially Beacon Hill…I would like to live in the whole building and imagine a courtyard in the back with a simple garden.
A barn converted into a home-full of character, yet complete simplicity.
Traditional with a capital T, but I like the predictability juxtaposed with the lobster doorknocker.
A cottage on a highland estate would be perfect.
Always wanted to live in a vineyard and work there too, but I think that will have to wait until I can afford to be a “gentlewoman vintner”.
I love this house-no foundation plantings, no shutters, symmetrical and straightforward. I could see myself living here with wide open interior spaces.
I wouldn’t have painted the front door this color-I would have preferred a completely monochromatic house, but it works.
I like that this house doesn’t mess around with an itty-bitty lawn and just makes a subtle statement with seasonal ground cover.
How about sharing a bottle of wine in the summer house overlooking the river?
