house symmetry

i always seem to be drawn to symmetry. this house caught my eye today with it’s lovely proportions and of course, symmetry. i pass it several times a week and never really sat and looked at it until i started to think about symmetrical images.

cows and sheep

i have a thing for cows & sheep…so on my business trips to scotland i always take some time to find some to observe and photograph. sheep are everywhere particularly in the highlands or even just a few miles outside of the center of edinburgh. 

Change to White

If you have been following my posts, you will know that I am in love with white. When I first moved into my current home, all of the walls were white. Over time, I added some color and painted a few rooms a delicious shade 

Kitchen Window

after weeks of cloudy days and summer showers, i wanted to see some sun. so i put sunflowers on the window sill… that did the trick

Vineyards

if you have the opportunity, go to a vineyard and enjoy the glorious horticultural order of things..

Hydrangeas

the hydrangeas are amazing this year. it must be from all of the rain we have had so far this summer. more white…ah, yes….i had to sit with a glass of white wine and enjoy them.

I love Scotland

I love Scotland, everything about it, the land, the sky, the weather, the architecture, the history, the culture.  It is a place where I feel at home.  There are sheep everywhere…well, not really everywhere, but if you drive just a bit outside of any city,
