I really love to drive, especially in another country off the beaten path on single track roads, and even more so when the car is on the left side of the road.  The whole driving experience feels so much more dynamic than my day-to-day errand 

Afternoon Break

Here is one of my favorite spots to sit with a tea and take an afternoon break.  Small enough guilty pleasure with nice light.

It won’t be long now

It won’t be long now until summer has returned.  I start counting the days just after the winter solstice when the sky stays light just a bit longer.

Boat wish

Looking towards the summer, I have a yearning for a boat.  Yes, a big ketch, yawl or sloop would be lovely, but I had something more like this in mind.  Easy to handle, straightforward to maintain, just a little hole in the water to putter

On a recent trip to Paris, I came across a young couple who had just been married at Notre Dame.  What could be more classically romantic.
